Cutting the Budget – Tips
People are losing their jobs, their homes; their bank accounts are dwindling along with 401k investments in the tanker. If you are one of the lucky ones with your livelihood in tact and the rest of your life seemingly unaffected then consider yourself one of the minorities in the whirlwind going on around you. We were living a lie in so many ways from overindulged children to sense of entitled adults living beyond their means. We need to stop living a lie and buying into more is better mindset. If we start cutting our budgets ad paying down debt we will live like we have never lived before. Imagine not having credit card debt, car loan or mortgage, what a great feeling that would be to be debt free.
First things first in order to cut the budget.
- Write down all your expenses and be honest with yourself and your partner.
- Take a good hard look at where your money is going.
- Should items be sold in order to make ends meat?
- Where can you stop spending?
Some ideas when trimming the budget.
- Analyze the cable and phone bills.
- All unnecessary spending must stop.
- Get on a budget plan for utilities
- Put it through a vigorous fat trimming program like no other.
- Plan meals and shop once a week.
- Pay down debt smallest to largest will give you the greatest satisfaction.
